"Law and Grace in the Christian Life: Complementary or Contradictory?"

Project Timothy Bible Conference (11 to 12 July, 2008)

The New Testament teaches us that Christians are not under law but under grace. Yet we are also told that not the least stroke of a pen will disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. How are we to reconcile these two seemingly conflicting statements?

And what about the labyrinth of Old Testament commands? Do they still apply to us today and if so, how can we tell which ones do and which ones don’t? And how can we make sense of the Old Testament laws in the light of the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ?

Join us as we explore these issues and more in the Project Timothy Bible Conference 2008. Our teacher this year is Andrew Reid from Ridley Theological College in Melbourne. Andrew is a well known and respected Bible preacher-teacher, commentator and author who has written several Old Testament commentaries as well as a handbook on how to interpret the Bible. His delightful blend of pastoral insight, cultural sensitivity and academic rigour makes him a more than able guide for us as we explore the topic of this year’s conference: "Law and Grace in the Christian Life: Complementary or Contradictory?"
