| Rev
David Peterson
Rev David Peterson is the principal of Oak Hill Theological College. His
experience in parish ministry in Australia and England has given him a
passion for relating his teaching to everyday life and service for God.
This is particularly reflected in the books he has written on worship
("Engaging with God") and sanctification ("Possesed by
God"). His more academic work on Hebrews ("Hebrews and Perfection")
and Acts ("The Theology of Acts") illustrates his concern to
examine scripture in its original context so that we can discover its
enduring message for today.
David studied for his doctorate under F.F. Bruce at Manchester University
and subsequently had two periods of study leave at Tyndale House, Cambridge.
His extensive experience as a theological educator in Australia has enabled
him to bring a new vision for ministry training to Oak Hill. David and
his wife, Lesley have three adult sons, Mark, Chris and Daniel.
