NextGen Singapore is a ministry of Project Timothy. The NextGen team is made up of volunteers who come from a few churches. We share a passion to see Christians grow in Christ-like godliness through being convicted and changed by God’s word.

We believe that God speaks to His people and works in them to make them more Christ-like when His Word is taught clearly and faithfully.

Therefore, we seek to train the next generation of gospel leaders to faithfully pass on the gospel to others. This aim is achieved by equipping young leaders to read and understand the bible for themselves, in order that they may teach it clearly to others.

Partnering Churches

Equipping young leaders for faithful gospel ministry with God’s word really serves gospel growth for God’s church. Therefore, we desire to serve-support churches open to partnering in training their young leaders to serve the gospel.

NextGen Conference

The NextGen conference is a yearly stay-in training event. At the heart of the conference is strand group training, where delegates learn a model of reading the bible and apply it by studying a passage in stages in their training groups. Bible talks and workshops also highlight the conference, not least gospel friendships and partnerships that result from spending time together and having good conversations about life and ministry.

Due to the Covid pandemic, restrictions for the sake of public safety have made it less possible for a sizeable physical event. In line with the national posture and safety guidelines given by the Singapore government, instead of the usual NextGen conference, we are organising a 3-day daytime conference with strand groups meeting in decentralised locations around Singapore. Although the existing restrictions do not allow for this, we hope that by then, they might be loosened to allow for this arrangement. If necessary, the team is prepared to revert to organising the conference fully online, similar to what we had done last year.

NextGen 2021 event dates: 4-6 November 2021 (Thursday to Saturday)
